Time Flies When Your Having Fun

Man,

Does time fly or what. I can't believe it's Sunday night already. My fantasy team stunk it up today and I'm a little upset about that. Played a decent round of golf this afternoon and that helps make up for the slouchy fantasy week! My Troy Trojans got a big win this weekend! A 33-23 win of FIU in our new quarterbacks first start is promising for the rest of our season. Well, I can't believe I have to go back to work tomorrow, maybe I'll get sick. :)

Well, have a great week.

Simply Amazing!

My entire life isn't a bible verse but thankfully lately I have truly been striving to seek God and his will for my life. Therefore more and more of my thoughts and actions are based on God and his Word. So I just got done with a little personal devotional time, just reading and studying God's Word. The way I do it is just pick out a book in the Bible and exhaust it chapter and verse. So tonight I continued in my study of Matthew. Matthew chapter 7 to be exact, so I opened up my Bible and started reading. It started off with the parable of judging others. Around verse 5 I realized that I hadn't yet prayed over the scriptures so I stopped to pray and I asked God to bless this time with Him reading His Word and to open up His scriptures to me and use them to guide my life toward His will, when I began reading again it was verse 7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." I don't care what you say that is awesome, I asked God to show me his will and it's as if he said "O.K." :) I truly serve an awesome GOD! Anyway the point is, I asked Christ to save my soul from the punishment of my sins, and He absolutely did. I've asked God to help me through college, the first day on the job, the loss of my Grandmother and He absolutely has. I am now at the crossroad of really wanting to live my life as God want's me to live it. I want to make an impact on this world for the cause of Christ, not sure how but God does. So I've began seeking God for the everystep of my life. God didn't show me tonight what I am going to spend the rest of my life doing, there's so much going on right now, I'm just following the glimmer of light right in front of my feet, but He's gonnna lead me, and I'm bound and determined to follow Him all the way. At the end of chapter 7 the scripture says that when Christ finished speaking the crowds were amazed because "he taught as one who had authority" Christ is the authority of my life and ALL LIFE, do I treat him as such....do you?

God Bless and God Speed!

The Dr.'s Visit

Sitting in a Dr's Office has got to be punishment from God. You have to sit so still and quiet and listen to other people whisper for hours while waiting to see a Dr. who no doubt is going to tell you just how close to dying you are. I have one question, how do they pay for all these magazines, just beside my chair is 5 SI's, 4 Forbes, 2 Life's, 2 Vanity Fair's a Senior Living Newspaper and a Fortune magazine listing the 100 best places to live. Who picks these places by the way? Not a single location in Alabama in the top 50 and only 1 spot on the whole list. I can't believe Clanton didn't make the list. Anyway, back to the Magazines, a 4 Dr office with 20 chairs and at least 400 magazines. Where do they come from and who decides when a magazines life is over? Anyway what's really interesting in all this is that with this well assorted plethora of magazines, some if which are truly interesting reads there isn't a single magazine here that can change your life. Some of them may claim to but do they really, absolutely not. So what I'm finding out is that unlike these magazines, Gods word, the Holy Bible, can really change your life. It's absolutely changing mine and it's amazing. Some lady just walked in with her own magazines, did she really think there wouldn't be any here? Back to the point, Gods word really will change your life. I've been reading 1st Timothy and the encouragement has been amazing. The challenges in Timothy have been very real. It's amazing that something written around 2,000 years ago has a real effect on the life of people in the 21st century. And people want to say Gods not real. The lady with her own magazines phone rings really loud and you have to talk fast because it's prepay, that's what she said, really loudly by the way, gotta be a rule against that in waiting room law somewhere. Anyway, I guess the whole point of this is that Jesus Christ saves you for eternity but that's not the end of life, Gods word changes your life everyday. So, get into Gods word, not Forbes or Sports Illustrated, you'll not regret it!

God Bless!
